Call for volunteers

The Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves Committee (MRMR) of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM) is looking for volunteers to review and evaluate best practice guidelines that are being updated.

One of the mandates of the MRMR Committee is to keep abreast of changes and advances in international MRMR classification, definition and reporting as well as recommend changes to the Standards as required.

Currently, the MRMR Committee is in the progress of updating two of its best practice guidelines: the Mineral Exploration Best Practices and the Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserve Best Practices guidelines.

The Committee is looking for volunteers to review these documents and provide comments and opinions on them. Volunteers should have a background in exploration geology, mineral resource estimation or mineral reserve estimation.

If you are interested in assessing these guidelines, please contact Marilou Reboulis at mreboulis@cim.org by October 17, 2018.
